Thank you Derek Nice Job. 1 question I have the app working 100% but if I add the Show Filter Bar and do a search for an person it search out the person but will not populate the fields for me. Can you please help?

I see no 'primary key' check box on my phpmyadmin. Did the setting move on more recent versions?

I definitely subscribe your tutorial! In fact I found AppInventor from your android studio tutorial somewhere in the playlist. Now I can start learning to build android apps using AppInventor (migrating from SiberianCMS, which is also a great tool but lots of flies and bees!). Excellent work Derek but I do have a question. Is it possible to get the "customer" information from the database and then create a pdf file to then be emailed to the email stored for the "customer" in the list? If this video has been created already and I overlooked it, is it possible to direct me to it?

Thanks for your video, I have watched the entire videos and Loved it.
I am trying to access the data base but godaddy has changed a bit.
I tried to find the URL as well as the hostname but they have changed.
I contacted them and they told me that they don't have it that way any longer.
Can you explain to me to access the database using cpanel interface.

Hi Derek, great job!

Is there a way to construct the MySQL sentence in App Inventor and send it to PHP just as a execution bridge?

And if so, how would we transfer the MySQL string to PHP, considering the special characters (é%$#@" ' [space] etc), would it be encoded (json/xml/escape)?

I need help with error 1109 Specified url isn't valid, it shows %20%20 as additional strings in the message along with all the variables i have used in the app, kindly provide me with a solution as i'm implementing an app for college project.

Hi Derek, first of all, thank you for such a great tutorial. Im getting an error (Database connection failed). my servers lacks remote mysql, but the php s are located on the same server. any idea why this might be happening? (already double checked all fields for loggin in )

I have an application which loads urls from a website. Now I want that the application to use the cache when offline. But I just get the failure page which says that im not connected to the website. I'm trying to submit a value from AI2 via PHP to database but I get "The operation Elements cannot accept the arguments:" — and it returns ALL of my data in a Runtime Error instead of populating my textboxes with individual DB column data. Hmmm.

thanks for your tutorials ! Really amazing work from you, it helps me a lot !
So basically i followed your tutorial and ended up having the same error every one is having about not getting the response from the specified url. I read in the comments that your advice for that error is to follow your tutorial on how to install xampp. But now is the question i have : what is actually xampp good for ?
I mean i understand that it sets a server so that you can access your php file from a browser, but what I did was using filezilla in order to upload my php files into my server I bought from OVH (that also includes a database but thats not the point). So now from Filezilla i can get the URL from my php scripts and open then from a browser but still I got the error. So could you explain to me the points that I am missing and help me understand what the role of xampp exactly is ?
